Looking for a fun and interactive activity for your 4-H Water Ambassadors exhibit booth or water fair? Tic-Tac-Know? may be your answer!
Tic-Tac-Know? is a new spin on an old game. To Play: Begin by placing the game board on an easel. Choose the appropriate set of trivia cards based upon the age of students and attach 9 of them to the poster frame. If you have a large group of students, divide the group into two teams. Otherwise, only two people are required to play. One team or individual will play the X’s and the other team of individual will play the O’s. Have one team/individual select a game card on the board. Take down the card and ask the question. If the team/individual answers correctly, then place the X or O (whichever the case may be) on the blank space. If the answer is incorrect, remove the question from play and replace it with one of the spare questions. The opposing team/individual will select a card on the board, and attempt to answer the question. Repeat the process until the team/individual gets a three in a column, row or diagonally. The game is over. Reset the questions and repeat for the next group or pair of individuals.
To assemble the game board, you will need a 20"x28" poster frame with clear plastic front, Velcro dots or similar adhesive, and laminated game pieces. Complete game instructions, background poster, and game pieces are downloadable in .pdf format from the shared Google Drive folder. Simply print off, laminate and trim to size.
