Macy Downs and Riley Calk (Yoakum Co.) worked with Michelle Cooper (Southern Ogallala Conservation and Outreach Program) and used the SOCOP water education trailer at the Brownfield Health on the Square Day.
Macy and Riley taught both kids and adults about rainfall harvesting, aquifers, and how to conserve water in their own homes. They also conducted a survey by asking everyone who visited the trailer if they knew where their water came from and who managed it. Great idea!
Thanks to Ms. Cooper and SOCOP for providing opportunities for Macy and Riley to lead and learn!

Childers Helps Lead STEM Camp in Dublin
Myla Childers (Erath County) assisted Stephanie Keith (Middle Trinity Groundwater Conservation District) with a 4-day groundwater STEM camp at the Dublin library.
Each day they did new and engaging activities for kids ages 9-12. They made a raft, played with aquifer models, made pumping example wells, filtered water, and did a nature walk looking at weathering and erosion. Participants made small models of something they saw, painted those, and put together a rain bucket to take home.
